So happy. Taxes done! For the first time since Kim's last heart surgery, we're getting a refund. Last year the refund was $40

It immediately went to what we owed to the IRS due to a badly prepared tax return in 2005 that has haunted us since that time. This year's refund is going to be sorted out to catch our bills up to current AND pay off two credit cards AND hopefully, pay for Vash's needed $100 blood test. I'm going to try to talk down those two bills to less than they actually are. They're both through Chase and I HATE Chase. Most greedy bank we deal with. ONLY bank we deal with.
Other good things:
Going to reduce our with holding so hubby has a LITTLE more money in the monthly pay check so it makes things easier on us.
Being caught up on our two slightly behind utility bills will also add money. I cut like crazy and it's FINALLY making a difference.. although.. I do really want to get a phone again some day.
Our new apartment owners fixing the water leaks is saving us $25-$30 a month.
Our new apartment owners FIXING the dryer vent is saving us ... $50 a month?! 0.o WHat.. the.. so.. for the entire five+ years we've lived here, we've paid $50 a month more than we needed to because of our stupid maintenance staff who would NOT listen to me when I told them the vent needed to be cleaned!!!
Up until now, we've been struggling just to meet minimum payments, plus keep up with food and gas. This should ease that a bit and concentrating more on making revenue over doing what I want to do (color comics) should get us on steadier ground by summertime.
January revenue is the WORST of the year just like the first week of every month is the lowest period of month for my advertising company - now that we're in March, things are beginning to look up again.

YAY!
Now I'm going to concentrate on doing all these commissions and maintaining the primary comics - which includes getting all those comics I owe people done so I can do more comics with other people's characters that I at least get to write.
