So happy.  Taxes done!  For the first time since Kim's last heart surgery, we're getting a refund.  Last year the refund was $40 :D  It immediately went to what we owed to the IRS due to a badly prepared tax return in 2005 that has haunted us since that time.  This year's refund is going to be sorted out to catch our bills up to current AND pay off two credit cards AND hopefully, pay for Vash's needed $100 blood test.  I'm going to try to talk down those two bills to less than they actually are.  They're both through Chase and I HATE Chase.  Most greedy bank we deal with.  ONLY bank we deal with.
Other good things:
Going to reduce our with holding so hubby has a LITTLE more money in the monthly pay check so it makes things easier on us.
Being caught up on our two slightly behind utility bills will also add money.  I cut like crazy and it's FINALLY making a difference.. although.. I do really want to get a phone again some day. :(
Our new apartment owners fixing the water leaks is saving us $25-$30 a month.
Our new apartment owners FIXING the dryer vent is saving us ... $50 a month?! 0.o  WHat.. the.. so.. for the entire five+ years we've lived here, we've paid $50 a month more than we needed to because of our stupid maintenance staff who would NOT listen to me when I told them the vent needed to be cleaned!!!
Up until now, we've been struggling just to meet minimum payments, plus keep up with food and gas.  This should ease that a bit and concentrating more on making revenue over doing what I want to do (color comics) should get us on steadier ground by summertime.
January revenue is the WORST of the year just like the first week of every month is the lowest period of month for my advertising company - now that we're in March, things are beginning to look up again. :D  YAY!
Now I'm going to concentrate on doing all these commissions and maintaining the primary comics - which includes getting all those comics I owe people done so I can do more comics with other people's characters that I at least get to write. :D

I'm glad to hear that, Tiff.

I started Devil Survivor 2 recently, and it's at least as fun as its predecessor.

It's also a bit quirkier and a bit more fun too, if just because the story drags a little less at the beginning.

Have you chosen a path yet?

Also, backup demons. If you have a few backups beyond the 8 you take into the final battles, it becomes a bit easier.

Not only did I manage to pick up a 5th day of work this week, (Saturday), one of the Managers, Frank, broke down the order tonight!

So, I didn't have to break down the order, and I get some rest!

Oh my God, I almost cried when he took off.  Bird/gryph/dragon furries around the world must  be crying right now too.  Also, birdman suits are now obsolete.

...

WHEN CAN I BUY ONE?! D':

Its a buzzard suit! lol

Sadly, the Birdman thing turned out to be a hoax.  The "inventor" is a CG animation specialist, and admitted openly to the hoax.  Info on this made the BBC earlier today.

Yeah, a little after that went viral the dude I got it from talked to a mechanical engineering friend who builds flying machines for a living and for research purposes and he affirmed the guy was 99% likely to be full of crap.  And the transitions were suspect in some places, so while I was hopeful for that 1% I wasn't expecting it.

Just like I don't expect someone to be able to grow diamonds big enough to make embedded sword edges just because someone has now managed to make a 100% diamond ring.

Manufactured diamonds are pretty much only good for using in industrial tooling, being too small for jewelry or other things. I suppose someone could make a sword edged in diamond, but it wouldn't be jewelry quality diamonds, and it probably wouldn't really be any more effective than a regular sword. That solid diamond ring is cool, but I'd be willing to bet that it's natural, and extremely expensive. And there's no way someone's going to be getting that thing resized... x3
