Managed to get on the U-Stream tonight.  Quite a fun time.

My wife wonders what this streaming thing is.

It's surprisingly productive for me.   That's what it is.  As soon as I'm able, I WILL pick up a cooling pad for my laptop so I can do it for longer periods of time.  I really don't like making it hot and it always gets hot when I stream.   It's really cool when I'm working on it without the streaming.

Not sure where to file this one, since it's more of a 'what the heck' than anything else.

My wife and I were heading out to fetch some food when we saw a car with a fire beneath it going down the road.  I gave a honk and followed, the smoke grew black, and they pulled into a gas station.  After a donation of water, the thing (newspaper bundle?) beneath the car was putout, but the car, now backed off the thing, had the engine compartment catch fire.

Long story short, the fire was put out with water and a fire extinguisher a few minutes later, the two guys were waiting for their friend, and we went on our way.

It's like I'm hearing all my favorite songs for the first time!  Got them last night after the fiasco, but didn't get to try them out until today.  Adsfgh, I chose well...

It appears the heat is starting to break up here,and has been easing a bit for about a week or so.  (Still fairly hot, mind you, but getting less so)

So, some of you might recall my former complaint about vacation scheduling and how a co-worker was telling me to think about myself and just take whichever vacation I wanted. You might also recall that I said I was the only person who actually thought of his co-workers and moved his vacation back so that we wouldn't end up short staffed.

There is, at the very least, a reward for good deeds.

Had I not moved my vacation back, I would not have had the chance to watch Tiffany work for the entire week while chatting with her and the other viewers in the chat box.

That was, quite frankly, the best vacation I've ever had!

And when the remark was made: "But you didn't go anywhere!" was "But I've never gotten the chance to see a drawing go from a blank page to amazing!". And speaking of said piece of art, Tiffany tried something new on my Nevix as a Technomage commission and recorded the session!

It got down to the 60's last night, and the weather forecast is calling for mid 50's tonight. It keeps this up and I'll start Rutting. 

So, I'm hatching a plan. A plan to get my my own place, and not live with any of my family.........I was out on my own for a good spell, but fate, being the $20 hooker she is decided that phase of my life was over.............I'm in the process of trading my ATV for an Camper Trailer.

That way I can GTFO of my Dad's place and go. I dunno if any of you have had to move back into your parent's place, with no other option, it blows.

ALSOalso, gotten to stay late at work the past couple of days due to this big push for this University wide project to go live tomorrow.  The holiday may have taken away four of my hours, but my voice being lent to the video tutorials has wrested back an hour and a half. *money-making happy dance*

ALSOALSOalso, got handed my first writing assignment in Survey of American Lit 2 yesterday: it's about word usage, double entendres, and etymology of significant words in Kate Chopin's "The Awakening". HELLO ESSAY DESIGNED FOR AN ENGLISH-LIGUISTICS DOUBLE MAJOR.  HOW I HAVE LONGED TO MEET YOU ONE DAY SO I COULD TRUCK YOUR FACE WITH GUSTO. *academic happy dance*
