Addiction? Really? They got this on the show with ppl eating hair out of the drain, and some REAL crazies.

My 3DS is a used one, and it came with Plants Vs. Zombies already installed. It's a lot of fun, but now that I've beaten the adventure mode, I'm having lots of fun figuring out new ways to beat the Last Stand minigame.

Last stand gives you a limited amount of plants and pits you against 5 waves of zombies. I beat it on my first try but it's fun to see if other strategies work.

So far, my first strategy is second best, mainly because I forgot to include magnet mushrooms the first time.

I'm thankful for the return of my dsi XL.  Kim loves her 'new' DS from Hariman.   There are several games I want that are only on the 3DS, but I can wait.

Oh, yes. In truth, the biggest reason I got a 3DS was the updated re-release of Devil Survivor. There are likely other 3DS games I'll buy at some point, but that was the big one.

I don't have my 3DS online yet, and I've probably got to change the name on it. It was used and I don't know the parental control code to reset the memory.

Unfortunately, I think I'm done with Plants Vs Zombies, as the minigames are starting to wear thin and I'm not repeating the adventure mode.

Also, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter was fun, and only annoyed me in about 2 chapters out of 20. (Maybe 3 chapters.) It's a lot of fun playing a game that has a sense of humor and that makes lifting and throwing your enemies around fun.

Actually, fursuiting on a daily basis is very strange.  Not crazy per se, but it is far from the mainstream, even compared to attending and fursuiting at conventions, which in itself is rather odd.  Odd isn't necessarily a bad thing by any means, especially if one recognizes that the thing isn't the norm.

There's no harm in it I can see (although I'm not sure it is healthy for the person psychologically to use fursuiting everyday as a way to keep sane.)

I will agree that most of the other fetishes are far more crazy though, and most probably far more harmful.

Random Segue Time!

SFDebris reviewed the episode "Darmok", from Star Trek: The Next Generation, and he's also done a followup addressing criticism of a language that supposedly uses metaphor as the main method of communication.

It's a very interesting video on linguistics and the difficulties of translating an alien language that uses a completely different syntax and structure than the local norm. The example SFDebris uses is translating Japanese into English without knowing proper context for the language.

Really, the whole video could be entitled "translation is damn hard when you just learning an entirely new language without knowing anything about it."
