Awww.  Poor cute little Shivae.

I like how Darius gets sad, and then perks up and realizes how he still got a really awesome present, and remembers to thank his Dad for it.  I like to think he was more sad for the Shivae than for himself, and that how awesome his dad was being made him even more grateful.

By the way, how do you do those backgrounds?

I have to approve you the first time.   Then it's all fine.
And those backgrounds are made with special brushes and a runover it with highlights.

Anyway, I take it you're using brushes with a large fade in, and some star-brushes before the highlight?
